Is it possible for the natural man, Christian or non-Christian, to understand what it means to "have a personal one on one relationship with Jesus Christ"? The Apostle Paul explained that "the natural man cannot understand spiritual things" (I Cor. 2:14). Is "having a personal relationship with Jesus Christ" a spiritual reality that requires the presence and appraisal of the Spirit of Christ to understand what it means? If so, is it possible to adequately explain the meaning of this reality to a Christian or non-Christian? Evangelical Christians have often proclaimed and explained that to be a Christian is "to receive Jesus and have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ." Many who have heard that proclamation have not been able to understand what evangelical Christians mean by that phrase. If your a Christian you can not just “proclaim” to have a personal relationship with Jesus, there is so much more to it.
RELATIONSHIP - In its broadest sense this simply means that one object has a connection or correlation with another object.
PERSONAL - How personal does the relationship have to be to be a personal relationship?
JESUS CHRIST - What then is a "personal relationship with Jesus Christ"? Or would we be better served to refer, instead, to an "interpersonal relationship with Jesus Christ".
Is a "personal relationship with Jesus Christ" just a relation of our mental assent to an historical Jesus? Is a "personal relationship with Jesus Christ" just an ideological relationship of belief based on the circumstantial evidence of reports that we can read in the Gospels of the New Testament? Is it possible to have an interpersonalrelationship with an historical personage that lived hundreds of years ago? Is it possible to have a interpersonalrelationship with a logical construct of theological tenets about God and His Son, Jesus Christ?
Or does an "interpersonal relationship with Jesus Christ" necessitate an experiential, interactive relationship that involves an inter-relatedness, a oneness, a union, a commonality of identity, an intimacy, a "knowing" that can only be likened to the marriage relationship on earth?
That would necessitate the recognition that the Jesus of history, who walked around Palestine over 1900 some years ago, is still alive as a living Person, though in a different form ¬ in a spiritual form, and capable of interacting in an interpersonal relationship with human persons today. That is the message of the Christian gospel ¬ that Jesus lived, was crucified on the cross, and was raised from the dead in the resurrection, and having ascended to God the Father, He was "poured out" and made available in spiritual form, as the "Spirit of Christ" (Rom. 8:9), in order to indwell the spirits of persons in every age, becoming one with them in spiritual union, and becoming the basis of their new spiritual identity, as they engage in a dynamic interpersonal relationship with the living Lord Jesus.
At this point we need to admit that even the reference to an interpersonal relationship with Jesus Christ might be inadequate. The marriage relationship that Paul employs in Eph. 5:22-33 breaks down in illustrating the relationship of Christ and the Christian because the relationship between the Christian the the living Lord Jesus is also an intrapersonal relationship, involving the indwelling presence of the Spirit of Christ within the spirit of the Christian.
In order for the Christian to have a dynamic interpersonal relationship with Jesus Christ it necessitated that Jesus be a living Person. That was facilitated by the historic resurrection of Jesus when He was raised from the dead on the third day to become the every-living Lord Jesus. In order for the Christian to have a spiritual intrapersonalrelationship with Jesus Christ, it necessitated that Jesus be a Spirit-person. That was implemented by the Pentecostal outpouring of Jesus in Spirit-form when the Spirit of Christ became available to indwell the spirits of receptive individuals in every age as the life-giving Spirit (I Cor. 15:45).
This is why evangelical Christians employ the Biblical terminology of being "born again," to explain the living reality of the personal Spirit of Christ coming to dwell in the spirit of a receptive person in an intrapersonalrelationship, and that to engage in a growing and developing interpersonal relationship whereby the living Lord Jesus functions in and through the Christian. This is the INTIMATE BOND between the Christian and JESUS living together as one on a daily basis.
It is important to understand that a personal relationship with Jesus Christ is not just an objective relationship to the benefits that Christ allegedly made available by His historical actions of death, burial and resurrection. The intrapersonal and interpersonal relationship of the Christian with Jesus Christ must be recognized as a subjective, internal, spiritual reality, whereby an individual in any age receives the living Spirit of Christ into his or her spirit (Rom. 8:9), thus becoming a Christian, a Christ-one, being as one in Christ intimately. That relationship must involve a dynamic sense of ontological interaction daily and communion, a living and functional communication as a part of your daily living. Granted, this explanation of a personal, intrapersonal and interpersonal relationship with Jesus Christ requires spiritual understanding that can only come by the presence of the Spirit of Christ within the spirit of a receptive person. (I Cor. 2:8-16).
That is the difficulty Christians have in attempting to explain what it means to have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. It cannot be understood until He, the Person of Christ, is received by faith. Then, we have the spiritual and relational understanding of regeneration and new birth (Jn. 3:1-6). Then, we can have the spiritual understanding of the indwelling of the Spirit of Christ within our spirit (Rom. 8:9); that the living Lord Jesus Christ is in us (Col. 1:27; II Cor. 13:5), and lives in us (Gal. 2:20) as our spiritual life (Col. 3:4).Then, we can begin to fathom that we are united in a spiritual oneness of union with Him (I Cor. 6:17). Then, we can begin to understand that we are new creatures (II Cor. 5:17; Eph. 4:24; Col. 3:10), and that our identity is only "in Him" as Christ-ones, Christians ¬ that who I am can only be explained on the basis of Who He is. Then, we can begin to understand the dynamic function of the Lordship of the Living Lord Jesus, not just as an assent to His being Lord, God, Deity, but as the acceptance of the fact that my life is no longer mine to determine, but is entirely as His disposal and determination.
Jesus also stressed the critical importance of a 'personal' intimate relationship with Him, in His analogy rejecting the foolish young women by saying, "Truly I say to you, I do not know you."
(Matthew 25:12) Unless you understand that line of His in the context of a “personal relationship”, it makes no sense to me. Jesus did not say, "I do not know about you"!
Reading the Bible is critically important, knowing and obeying God’s word is critically important. My "personal" intimate relationship with Jesus is extremely critically important to me and my daily life and my daily walk with him. Having an intimate personal relationship with Jesus on a daily basis, having the Holy Spirit guide your life is how you grow, how you learn, how you live. Jesus lives IN ME!
It is so SIMPLE! No Jesus, no love, know hell.
Know Jesus, know love, no hell.
Christ emphasized the personal nature of that intimate relationship. (Matthew 10:32, 33) His call is, "Come to me." not come to an organization or to a church or denomination. (Matthew 11: 28) Similarly, in his illustration of the vine, he did not say, I am the vine, church organizations are the branches, and you are twigs springing from those branches ," but rather, "I am the vine, you are the branches," hence directly connected to him, abiding in him. (John 15: 5) There is no such thing as a group or collective faith, except as each individual within that group has expressed his or her faith personally and individually. So, too, with conviction. There can be no group conviction. It must be personal, individual. Otherwise, it is a borrowed conviction as well as a borrowed faith, and this is no faith at all.

This individuality is repeatedly stressed in Scripture.--Romans 10:9-11 states:

If you confess with your lips that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For one believes with the heart and is justified, and one confesses with the mouth and so is saved. The Scripture says, "No one who believes in him will be put to shame."

For we will all stand before the judgment seat of God. For it is written: "As I live, says the Lord, every knee shall bow to me, and every tongue shall give praise to God." So then, each of us will be accountable to God.--Romans 14:10-12, NRSV.

At the time of judgment, we do not appear before God and his Son as members of some church group or organization. We stand as individuals, "each of us."
True, reference is made to the "body of Christ." How does one become a member thereof? Is it by association or affiliation with a denomination or with a church group? The Scriptures indicate that this has no relevance or bearing on the matter, making clear that one becomes a member solely by being joined to the Head, the One who is the sole mediator between God and man, and that is Christ.--1 Timothy 2:3-6.

Whatever its apparent benefits, organizational membership can never equal the beauty and strengthening comfort that such intimate personal relationship with Jesus Christ brings. Christ likens himself to a shepherd who does not look upon his sheep simply as an anonymous conglomerate group, but one who "calls his own sheep by name". (John 10:3) He knows each of us and cares for us as individuals. Of our loving heavenly Father, the apostle writes: "Cast all your anxiety on him, because he cares for you."--1 Peter 5:7.
Separating from a religious structure that one finds to be seriously flawed, and freedom from that structure's control is of itself no solution, no guarantee of improvement. Some who separate are essentially no better off than before, have no idea how to use Christian freedom in a good and beneficial, God-honoring way; some exchange one set of combined true and false beliefs for another set of true and false beliefs. We are not interested in "getting people out of some particular organization" but in enhancing and deepening their appreciation of a genuine personal intimate relationship with God and Christ.

85% of church organization members do not have an intimate personal relationship with Jesus for many reasons. Some believe that just being saved and giving their life to Christ is enough, some feel that showing an appearance to a church service every Sunday or 2 or 3 days a week is enough, they get their weekly worship and word. But 85% of Christian are still no happy, struggling with life, still living worldly, and the list can go on, that is because the do not have that “one on one intimate personal relationship” with Jesus Christ as their daily living.

Jesus wants you to know him intimately! One on One! Daily! Christ living in YOU! With YOU! Read and study and obey his word! Trust me, you will truly see things in a different light, you will see the light of truth, the light of love, it’s not about the church building, the church members, it’s about YOU! It’s about YOUR SALVATION! A personal intimate relationship with Jesus is so special! It is intimate, loving, respectful, honoring, indescribable and unifying. It is personal, it is enduring, and it is honest. It is giving over self to gain Jesus. It is a relationship of creator and created. It is passionate, compassionate, rich, uplifting, healing, strengthening and satisfying. A relationship with God builds unity with God. Oneness with the creator, where an exchange takes one into the divine life. We exchange our weakness for His strength, our sorrow for His joy, our loneliness for His unity and belonging, our ignorance for his knowing, our foolishness for His wisdom, our anxiety for His peace, our frustration for His completion, our hopelessness for His hope, our Brokenness for His togetherness, our problems for His solutions, our slavery for His freedom, our pain for His love. There are many people who have come to God for salvation but only know of God and do not enjoy a personal, intimate, living, loving relationship with Him.
Christians understand that Jesus died on the cross but fail to understand why. Understanding what he did does not necessarily imply an understanding of why He did it and therefore, does not necessarily translate into life experience. When Jesus took the punishment for our sins He did not do it so we could escape hell and go to heaven. Jesus came and died so that we could have a relationship with the Father. Of course having a relationship with God means that we live with him, where He is, which is heaven. Eternal life in heaven is a byproduct of being involved in a relationship with God. As with all of the Kingdom of God the relationship comes first, as a result of this relationship many wonderful things flow into our lives. These things come as we grow and develop into the image of our Father. Everything that comes from God is because of a relationship with God. A relationship that is based on trust, honor, respect and communication. Intimacy with the Father requires honesty with Him, trust that He loves you and only wants to build you and support you and make you whole. He wants to free you from the lies and bondage's that hinder you from growth into His image. Making a decision to accept Jesus as your savior means nothing if you are not willing to walk a path of intimacy with your new Father. Not that it is a burdensome requirement that needs to be fulfilled so that you gain eternal life. No, it is a joy and the highest call on humanity to live a life in union with their creator, Father. That is why Jesus came, that is why He submitted to the cross, so that we could come to the Father and begin to grow in intimacy with Him. That is the only valid reason to accept Jesus offer of forgiveness.
A relationship with God is for here and now, we do not need to wait for heaven. When we live in a relationship with God we live in Heaven here. As we grow close to Him we take on the character of Him, we start to live like him as well. This is the true path of prosperity in every way. As we grow into the image of God we attract the things of the light and repel the things of the darkness. We start living as children of God instead of children of Satan. Not by trying to impose rule upon rule and law upon law but by an internal change that accompanies a deepening relationship with God. We need not struggle as a leopard trying to change his spots, which is impossible and only brings frustration and self condemnation.
"Does the Lord delight in burnt offerings and sacrifices as much as in OBEYING THE VOICE OF THE LORD? To Obey is better than sacrifices and to heed is better than the fat of rams." 1 Samuel 15:22
Jesus state to the CHURCH at Laodicea.
"Here I am! I stand at the door and knock. If anyone HEARS MY VOICE and opens the door, I will come in and eat with him, and he with me." Revelations 3:20
We are all individuals and God deals with us individually. We all have a unique call on our lives and we are all at different stages of growth. Relationship living is the only way to ensure that God is in control of your life, path, destination. For as circumstances change so to our requirements change. Jesus sent out His disciples and told them to take no provision for themselves. Luke 22: 35-36. The requirements changed as He saw fit. There is a ‘Gods timing’ for life that God alone knows, Ecclsiastes 3, we can only flow within it if we are in a communicative relationship with God. People of the world allow circumstances to dictate their life and its time and requirements people of God must allow God. A intimate relationship with Jesus necessitates that we make God, God and we look to Him for everything in life.
We must learn to hear the voice of God clearly and accurately. God will speak to us and lead us, we need not fear being deceived. John 10:1-18, Luke 11:11-13. We are created to live in harmony with our creator in Unity. We don't have to live in assumption of Gods will we can and should know what Gods will is for us personally at all times.
However I cannot stress any further the upmost importance of having a one on one personal intimate relationship with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. I pray that this article blessed you and that you live totally in Christ for the sake of your Salvation and Eternal life in Heaven with our Heavenly Father. It’s not about the church we go to or the people in the church it’s about YOU and GOD! ONE ON ONE!
Matthew 6:6

6 But when you pray, go into your room, close the door and pray to your Father, who is unseen. Then you’re Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you.
Get Intimate and personal with Jesus! Let him move in with you! You will love living with him daily! Jesus is the best lover, companion, friend, mate that anyone could ever have! He is the GREATEST!
Be Blessed!

You have to read till the end to get a full understanding....

1 Timothy 6
3 If anyone teaches otherwise and does not consent to wholesome words, even the words of our Lord Jesus Christ, and to the doctrine which accords with godliness,
4 he is proud, knowing nothing, but is obsessed with disputes and arguments over words, from which come envy, strife, reviling, evil suspicions,
5 useless wranglings[a] of men of corrupt minds and destitute of the truth, who suppose that godliness is a means of gain. From such withdraw yourself.
6 Now godliness with contentment is great gain.
7 For we brought nothing into this world, and it is certain[c] we can carry nothing out.
8 And having food and clothing, with these we shall be content.
9 But those who desire to be rich fall into temptation and a snare, and into many foolish and harmful lusts which drown men in destruction and perdition.
10 For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil, for which some have strayed from the faith in their greediness, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows.

Get back to WORSHIP!

O come, let us worship and bow down: let us kneel before the Lord our maker. For he is our God; and we are the people of his pasture, and the sheep of his hand. To day if ye will hear his voice,

Psalms 95:6‭-‬7 KJV
Imagine if we can just hear his voice and feel his presence as we WORSHIP.
With so much going on today within the body of Christ, within the church, within the sound of Gospel Music, within the World itself, so many believers are falling fast, farther and farther away from CHRIST and are being snatched up with the deception of the world. And that my dear friends is heartbreaking. So many in the church walls have got far away from pure, true Worship, the Spirit and truth Worship. Worship that comes truly deep within the heart and soul. The cry from the heart, to cry out to God in Worship, the give it all to God worship! To braking the chains WORSHIP! The breaking into tears WORSHIP!

Sing unto the Lord ; for he hath done excellent things: this is known in all the earth.
Isaiah 12:5 KJV

You even hear the loss of worship in today's Gospel Music and if you’re like me we listen to Gospel/Christian Music to lift up our spirits, to get in the presence of God, to encourage us in our times of distress, to build us up. And even most of today's Gospel Music has lost that element especially in the Gospel R&B and Hip Hop Genres. I hear so much more pure heartfelt worship in Contemporary Christian music then ever which is awesome and that's the type of worship that should be in all genres. We ought to sing our hearts and praises to our father, with joy, to be able to lift our spirits up giving praises unto the Father in spirit and truth, where we can feel God's presence deep within our soul, within our hearts. To be able to reach the heart and soul of the listener and the lost in need of the presence of God. To be able to feel his touch.

How amiable are thy tabernacles, O Lord of hosts! My soul longeth, yea, even fainteth for the courts of the Lord : my heart and my flesh crieth out for the living God.
Psalms 84:1‭-‬2 KJV

In many of today's churches today I have seen such a great lack in true worship, the praise team are in the pulpit singing however I have seen through my observation that they are up there out of obligation or duty then actually truly wanting to be up there singing true praise and worship from the heart, and if your heart is not truly into the worship how can others get into true worship and truly get into the presence of God. A praise team who is truly singing praises deep from the heart, in spirit and truth, who get deep into the worship makes a world of difference when reaching the hearts of the flock, when ushering in the Holy Spirit and when that element is lost then the flock tend to not get the full effect of true worship. You know the saying "if your heart isn't in it"? Well it's amazing how true that saying can be, if your heart isn't truly into the worship, the worship of the father then how can our souls be truly touched? How can worship be effective in our spirits? We must get back to true worship!

We can worship anywhere! Alot of times I can be listening to my Contemporary Worship station while cleaning house or driving in my car and my heart and spirit is so into the Worship music that the Holy Spirit just takes over! God begins to move! I will start to break out in tears! That's how true WORSHIP is! So many in the body of Christ are hurting, are falling away, are broken and need to get back to WORSHIP so they can be healed, to be uplifted, to be able to feel God's presence deep within their hearts and souls.

As we do church events or local community outreaches we must have more worship, to usher in the Holy Spirit so we can reach the hearts of the people who are in great need of a Savior. Taking true worship to the community can have a great impact on the lives of the people and the souls we are trying to reach and win for Christ.
Get back to the heart of worship, get in to God's presence, it's time for REVIVAL! Time to revive the body of Christ. Time to revive our spirits. Jesus is coming back for his church and we have to be truly ready.

Exalt ye the Lord our God, and worship at his footstool; for he is holy.
Psalms 99:5 KJV

GET BACK TO WORSHIP! Giving God all the GLORY!
We love you! Be blessed...

Lost Passion for Christ? Get it back!

Ministry has drastically changed, the church has drastically changed, Gospel Music has drastically changed, serving Christ has changed, people have drastically changed in so many ways, so many today have lost their passion for Christ. They have lost that fire and desire to serve God wholeheartedly, they have lost the humbleness, their compassion for others, their true purpose. God's people are more divided more now then ever before because they have lost their passion for Christ. They have developed a fearful, self only and prideful mentality and attitude. The world and society has changed you, many have even been hurt by the church itself. Some Gospel Music no longer worships and glorifies our Lord and Savior, nor does it minister to the lost in spirit any more. The church body cannot come together in unity to reach our dying communities especially if it doesn't go according to their agenda. Everyone has their own personal agenda for personal gain. Where is the passion to serve our Lord Christ Jesus in all this? Are you using your God given gifts to minister and reach the lost and win souls? So many in the body of Christ today are lacking that passion for Christ. Passion flows from a heart that is consumed with love for Jesus. That love must find a way to be released in His presence. God's word and instructions are very clear.
Be kindly affectioned one to another with brotherly love; in honour preferring one another;
Romans 12:10 KJV

So many of us today pray, read the word, go to church and serve Jesus out of obligation instead of having that passion for Him. Passion does not operate out of obligation. Passion operates as a result of agape love, a sincere true love. A love for our Savior Jesus Christ.

Passion loves and serves because it wants to, not because it has to or obligated to. Passion is serving God wholeheartedly because there is nothing else that we would rather be doing, I rather be serving our community with the love of Christ sharing JESUS then be at a sports game or shopping at the mall. Passion is energized by a person or thing with a desire in the heart. You can’t love a person that you don’t know that is why knowing Jesus is essential to a passionate relationship with Him.

God wants us to serve him with a whole heart, reaching all those in need of a Savior, who are lost, hurting, in need of love and joy. Ministering, Teaching, Preaching of the Gospel of Jesus Christ in any way possible, in any form or fashion for the Glory of God and not of man. Today ministry has changed so much within the body of Christ, the passion seems to not be there anymore, that fire and desire to unify in love to serve has disappeared. Passion is what energizes life. It turns the impossible into possible. In fact if you don’t have any passion in your life, ministry will become boring, dull, routine, just another day of the week or a day on the job. Then there are some that all your serving turns out to be by obligation or a show.

Now referring to Gospel music, all styles of Gospel Music alone has changed drastically over the years, it has become more Entertainment then Ministering, it has become more of an industry then Ministry. Especially in the Gospel Rap genre and I love my gospel rap, being I grew up on hip hop, but it saddens me dearly because our youth need to hear the gospel of Jesus Christ desperately yet So many youth are going down the wrong road and Gospel rap has lost its passion for Christ. So much of the newer music I hear today compared to 5 to 10 years ago has lost that passion and seems to no longer minister to the individual, nor Glorifies God. Where did the Heart and passion for Christ go? Unlike traditional gospel music or Rythem and Praise even that has become more geared towards entertainment then ministering. Don't get me wrong because I am in the music ministry and I do love an awesome concert with God gifted talented artists that definitely worships and glorifies our father but I've seen some that is no different than just being a show. I have seen a lot of "lost passion" for Christ even in music ministry and it's time to start putting more worship back into God's music and start Glorifying him as well as ministering to the lost who needs to receive Christ.
And whatsoever ye do, do it heartily, as to the Lord, and not unto men; Knowing that of the Lord ye shall receive the reward of the inheritance: for ye serve the Lord Christ. But he that doeth wrong shall receive for the wrong which he hath done: and there is no respect of persons.
Colossians 3:23-25 KJV

God wants us to be passionate for him. To desire to seek and serve him to the fullest.
One of the key things in a Christian’s life is passion. Not passion for worldly things, but a true heartfelt passion for Jesus Christ. A passion that burns on the inside and consumes our thought processes, consumes our decision making, consumes our worship, consumes our emotions and will. Consumes our heart and desires. That constant urge to seek more of him and serve him.

God made you to live a passionate life and to serve Him and His people with vitality. With vibrancy. With energy. With enthusiasm. With love, peace and joy. He wants you to have purpose in your life, God created you for a purpose, to serve him and win souls. He gave you gifts and talents to do so, he has fully equipped you. Did you know your inner passion can be renewed as you personally share your faith, love and desires in Jesus with others, and almost nothing re-ignites passion more quickly than a conversation that leads to talking about Jesus. Sharing and spreading the Gospel and ministering to those souls that long to hear about Jesus, when you share your passion for Christ, your planting a seed and Igniting the same passion in another. God's word tells us to love God with all our heart but to also share the love and spread the gospel of Jesus Christ to all the nations glorifying our King.

And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thine heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy might. And these words, which I command thee this day, shall be in thine heart: And thou shalt teach them diligently unto thy children, and shalt talk of them when thou sittest in thine house, and when thou walkest by the way, and when thou liest down, and when thou risest up.
Deuteronomy 6:5-7 KJV

Whether it be in music, dance, preaching from the pulpit, teaching in a Bible study, fellowship, an Outreach or block party, conference, workshop or Gospel music concert, we are to minister and honor our King Jesus giving him all the glory. Surely we can speak Glory to God with our mouth but are we truly giving him all the glory from our hearts?

God promises us that if we pursue Him wholeheartedly, He will not only provide for our needs "(Matthew 6:33)But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you." but will give us the desires of our heart as well "(Psalm 37:4-5)Delight thyself also in the Lord ; and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart. Commit thy way unto the Lord ; trust also in him; and he shall bring it to pass."

Remember Winning souls is essential and it is also a part of our purpose, the process of evangelizing or witnessing no matter what form, which is simply communicating the message of salvation to unbelievers. Jesus Christ told His followers they would be His witnesses "(Acts 1:8)But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth." and to “go and teach all the nations, "(Matthew 28:19) Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:" which is the essence of winning souls, those were his instructions. As our Father in heaven does not want anyone to perish and souls to be saved"(2 Peter 3:9)The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance. “all Christians should be eager to heed this call and have a passion for winning souls with the passion for Christ.

This is why having a "passion for Christ" is so imparitive in daily living, in your ministry, in our churches, in your home, in the Gospel music and so forth. We are living in a dying world, people are hurting, but they are also hungry for love, peace and salvation and the only person they can receive that is through Jesus Christ. When there is no unity in the body as well there in no passion for Christ and the world can see that.

Therefore how do we gain a passion for spreading the gospel and winning souls to Christ in these difficult days when there are so many who oppose our work every step of the way? When there is so much hatred and deception? It starts by having Jesus Christ front and center in our own lives. Our passion for winning souls will increase as our passion for Christ Himself and our walk with Him become stronger. Continue to fellowship, study his word, pray and serve wholeheartedly. When we consume our hearts and minds with Christ, we can’t help but to have a passion for sharing Him with others.

The most passionate laborers are those who have a heart that is on fire for Christ, and it should be easy when we think about the magnitude of what our Savior Jesus Christ did for us at Calvary on the cross. Yet we know what happens to those who die apart from Christ. And this hopeless eternity that many face apart from God, we should be more than motivated to win as many souls to Christ now more then ever before. Keep in mind, not only is the harvest great and the workers are very few, on top of this, our time is very limited and running out fast. We must work harder together in unity with our full passion for Christ serving wholeheartedly giving God all the Glory.

And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.
Romans 8:28 KJV

There can be no better calling than working on the behalf of our father Jesus Christ the One who died so that we may live. Jesus said, “(John 15:14)
Ye are my friends, if ye do whatsoever I command you." His command was that we obey Him and that we love each other as He loved us. Our love for Him is best displayed when we passionately and tirelessly work together to share His gospel with others. We have been chosen and ordained to minister and preach the Gospel.
Ye have not chosen me, but I have chosen you, and ordained you, that ye should go and bring forth fruit, and that your fruit should remain: that whatsoever ye shall ask of the Father in my name, he may give it you.
John 15:16 KJV

Serve, minister, love with the PASSION FOR CHRIST.
Be Blessed in JESUS mighty name.
Look not every man on his own things, but every man also on the things of others.
Philippians 2:4 KJV

First off let us understand what selfishness is and how it reflects in people.
All selfish people display a very uncaring attitude and a strong “Me first” trait. They are only concerned about "self".

A very common trait which all selfish and prideful people possess is that they always put themselves, wants and their needs on the forefront and in some instances can care less about anyone else or even pretend or appear that they care about another person which in fact is just a lie. They only give heed to their own priorities, their own goals and in the process would not think of anyone else, not even about those who might be really in much more need than them.

When it comes to getting their needs and wants met and their work done, they would turn a deaf ear to the necessities of others or take advantage of situations for personal gain that would only benefit themselves.

But whoso hath this world's good, and seeth his brother have need, and shutteth up his bowels of compassion from him, how dwelleth the love of God in him?
1 John 3:17 KJV

A selfish person would view others only as a means to get what they want. They have a "gotta have" tunnel vision which starts from and leads to themselves and their personal needs alone.

For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good, Traitors, heady, high-minded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God;
2 Timothy 3:2-4 KJV

• Another trait which selfish people show is being manipulative, hustling, scheming and plotting most of the times.
Selfish people have a great desire to control situations and people and are unwilling to reach compromises with others. To get their own way they would down cast others and put down anybody’s reputation to benefit their own reputation. Go behind another person's back for selfish gain.

For all seek their own, not the things which are Jesus Christ's.
Philippians 2:21 KJV

We then that are strong ought to bear the infirmities of the weak, and not to please ourselves. Let every one of us please his neighbour for his good to edification. For even Christ pleased not himself; but, as it is written, The reproaches of them that reproached thee fell on me.
Romans 15:1-3 KJV

They would never think of sacrificing anything for anybody and in some cases they do do it sometimes they would expect a lot in return. They feel it is their right to receive from others but never feel obliged to return anything. Selfish people behave in this manner because they don’t know how to balance giving with taking. Jesus always said it is better to give then to receive. When you give with a giving heart did you know Jesus will bless you with far more?

I have shewed you all things, how that so labouring ye ought to support the weak, and to remember the words of the Lord Jesus, how he said, It is more blessed to give than to receive.
Acts 20:35 KJV

He that giveth unto the poor shall not lack: but he that hideth his eyes shall have many a curse.
Proverbs 28:27 KJV

But to do good and to communicate forget not: for with such sacrifices God is well pleased.
Hebrews 13:16 KJV

Negative traits towards everything makes them bad team players as they always try to pull down others with their remarks, actions or suggestions. Their word or comments boast on themselves only.

They find it hard to motivate and inspire other people because they themselves lack motivation and the drive to look ahead in their own life. This characteristic makes them unpopular in a team and a misfit. They try to fit in but they're more of an outcast. They try to draw attention by using certain situations and in some situations will even work a hustle to get what they want at the expense of others.
For where envying and strife is, there is confusion and every evil work.
James 3:16 KJV

Charge them that are rich in this world, that they be not highminded, nor trust in uncertain riches, but in the living God, who giveth us richly all things to enjoy; That they do good, that they be rich in good works, ready to distribute, willing to communicate; Laying up in store for themselves a good foundation against the time to come, that they may lay hold on eternal life.
1 Timothy 6:17-19 KJV

• A selfish person is highly self centered and self obsessed.
This makes them see or hear no one else. They become bad listeners and give little or no consideration to what others have to say. They may act like they are listening but in all actuality they are not. They are inconsiderate and have little or no room for compassion. They would cut off conversations and bring the focus on themselves.
But unto them that are contentious, and do not obey the truth, but obey unrighteousness, indignation and wrath,
Romans 2:8 KJV

It becomes their earnest desire to be seen and heard more than anyone else making them oblivious to the opinions, suggestions and advices of others. All the conversations they indulge in pertain and turn back to themselves. They want all the focus and attention.
Looking at these traits and characteristics of selfish people possess, one thing becomes obvious that selfish people do not need your contempt. You surely have to keep yourself shielded from their negativist traits because it can harm you but you don’t need to run from them. One thing is you must Pray for them. You can love them even from a distance and pray they seek help.

All of us are selfish to some extent, but when the traits and characteristics go beyond control they make us selfish down to the core and some continue in that nature because unfortunately that is who their character is, the type of person the are.
We have to understand the characteristic of selfishness in people, recognize those individuals, know what Gods word says regarding selfishness. And if you are one who has an issue with selfishness know how to overcome the Characteristic trait according to God's word and apply it to your life.

And he said to them all, If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow me.
Luke 9:23 KJV
But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus.
Philippians 4:19 KJV

Jesus said unto him, If thou wilt be perfect, go and sell that thou hast, and give to the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven: and come and follow me.
Matthew 19:21 KJV

Remember Jesus died so we can live for HIM and not for ourselves so we will have eternal life with him.

And that he died for all, that they which live should not henceforth live unto themselves, but unto him which died for them, and rose again.
2 Corinthians 5:15 KJV
